Hello hello!
Fall has suddenly been hitting Seattle, and the leaves have slowly been changing from green to red and yellow. With the sun disappearing, I feel like I’m finally living in my cloudy, grey Seattle again haha.
Regarding September & October Mail:
September mail was sent out a longggg time ago! As usual, if you still haven’t received your mail within 3 weeks (US subscribers) or 7 weeks (international subscribers), please message me and I’ll get it sorted out!
Apologies again for the late update! I’ve been working on a lot of new things behind the scenes for my shop, including…
A NEW SHOP NAME WOOOO!!!
Starting January 1st, I’ll be changing all of my branding, including my shop and social media, to reflect my new name:
🍎 APPLE LOAF 🍎
For a while now, I’ve been thinking a lot about my personal connection to the name “Two Heads.”
As some of you may know, one of my earliest inspirations for making art came from the famous poem “The Two-Headed Calf” by Laura Gilpin.
The poem inspired me to draw my original two headed calf sticker, which was one of the things that made me realize how much I loved drawing. And from there, the name “Two Heads” was born!
However, over time, I realized that I had become a little emotionally disconnected from the name, even though it originally meant a lot to me. I also felt like it didn’t quite capture the branding, whimsy, and cozy world I wanted to create with my work. Plus, I’ve found that a lot of people are a little confused when they first hear the name!
So, after a lot of thought, I decided on Apple Loaf, based on my love for drawing apples and my love for sleeping haha.
I wanted something that felt easy to remember, a little silly, and fitting for the world I want to build through my art.
I know that changing my name midway through my art journey can be a little confusing, but I’m so thankful for all of you for sticking around and joining me as I take my shop in this new direction.
And finally… next month’s mail!
I’ve included the visuals for next month’s mail rewards above, which are coming up very quickly!
Next month’s theme is focused on melancholy and coziness, which felt fitting as we slowly break into fall and the days get colder and darker.
As usual, I hope you all have good tidings and warm socks.
Make lots of decisions that future you would approve of and past you would laugh at.
Warmly,
Aivy
